Hamilton wildlife control tip of the month:

Hi Dave! I am being haunted by an Hamilton animal control animal that is quite unusual. This is the poorest scat but the only pic I have. The first pile had white balls in it, I am told it could be the urates of a lizard. We did have one loose here earlier this spring. All signs point to Hamilton animal control lizard but I wanted to ask your opinion. This scat was up high on my ramp handle. The usual place for it is under my bougainvillea plant right next to my privacy fence, a very protected area. I didn't know they didn't really urinate and thought animal was spraying on my gate but have since relocated plants and found several piles of stinky scat. It smells like rancid marigolds with a cloying odor. It reeks! This example is not like the others, they have been more filled out without segmentation.

I have experience with lots of animals and this one has stumped me. It preys in the trees at night but will eat on the ground. It crushed a Hamilton pest control bird all the bones! But I think we came around and scared it before it had a chance to consume. When we came home, bird was gone. It left just the tail of a squirrel, which I have heard lizards will do. Not enough meat and too much fur. At least in S FL they have done this with cats. I have a haven for a Hamilton pest control lizard as I have many plants clustered together in pots so it gives it a nice humid environment to crawl through and get his skin moistened. It also is protective from my ramp which it goes under all the way to carport, just a short open area to his tree. It is gone all day and comes back home at night. I have heard that in the wild they will hunt during the moonlight also, and most times I go out at night with the lights on it has made a kill in the tree. I tried to get prints in flour but was too smart for that! I was left with a huge Hamilton wildlife removal mess. I don't have the cash for a game camera at the moment. It is very elusive, but I can smell it whenever it is around.

Our raccoons aren't elusive like this critter, and the scat isn't similar to theirs either. They aren't shy, go around us all the time in daylight and stick daily to the Hamilton wildlife removal lady 3 houses down since she free feeds feral cats 24/7. It would be hard for a fox to get through the pickets of my Hamilton animal trapping fence, though not impossible. Could it be a fox? Do they Hamilton animal trapping kill in trees? Our neighbor has a pool, one of the reasons I keep thinking lizard along with other evidence. I am stumped. Do you have any idea? I have 2 large boxers so most raccoons and such avoid our fenced in Hamilton exterminator area and most mammals are scared to come in yard, even the feral cats! since this critter has taken over. I have noticed quite a scarcity in frogs, roaches, ants, all creepy crawlies since this animal has been Hamilton exterminator around. With all the rain, I should be overrun. Thank you if you have any ideas! -Jeannie
